ABOUT US

          Martha C Aliaga, the founder of Martha's Counseling, obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1997.  Since then, she has worked as a Developmental Psychologist for an Early Intervention Program, as Service Director and Clinical Supervisor for Tri City Child Outpatient Clinic in Lynn, and as Parent's Behavioral Trainer for Malden Public Schools since 1999 until 2012.  By 2001, besides her full time job in the city of Malden, she attended her private practice on part time basis, and then, when she retired in 2012, Ms Aliaga dedicated herself full time to her private practice in Lawrence, Massachusetts

          In addition to her experience in USA, Martha C. Aliaga, is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in Peru, and she worked as the Chief Department of Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment in a Pilot Special Education School.

          Ms. Aliaga is a bilingual, multicultural, and skillful clinician who has a holistic approach and coordinates actions with other professionals to

address diferent factors that could be affecting her clients's emotions and behavior.

          Ms. Aliaga provides behavioral and mental health services at her office, at her clients's homes, or at community places.  She believes that working within the family unit produces effective changes in the interaccion of family members, and therefore, her clients start functioning appropriately.

         She has extensive experience with children under the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, ODD, Generalized Anxiety, PTSD, and Mood Disorders.  She also provides therapy services for adults who have mood and anxiety disorders.
